Really wanted Mumbai Indians to win IPL 3, not that I am an avid Mumbai Indians supporter, but for one man, Sachin. Don't know if he would be playing in the next edition, and he really wanted to win this time, you could sense it, feel it so strongly. My heart goes out to the legend, not long was he booed at his home ground(If I am not wrong, at Wankhade, I guess) and then his gracious comeback and he has so wanted to win those finals but it has evaded him for a very long time. He hasn't kissed a world cup as yet and I am sure he longs for it. After all that he has done and achieved and is still doing, you want to give the man that trophy. I don't know how many of us clapped when he got out that evening. After playing such a wonderful tournament, they lost the finals. Cruel fate han! The man really wants to go out on a high, not that he needs it in his already exceptionally illustrated career but sure longs for it. If fate hears me, I would say man, he's done so good, worked so hard, played so brilliantly, inspired a generation, united a country, just hand it over to him, but then this is life and this definitely is sport....
Hope, India wins the next World Cup (surely his last) for him and for all his service to cricket and let the man have, what he has deserved for so long. Hope the man of Indian cricket goes out not just in greatness but in glory of having finally won the World Cup. My salutation and best wishes to the great, 'Little Master' of our times.
